About

Hello from Virginia! It’s me, Wendy- wife, mother, gardener, teacher, photographer. I have four beautifully energetic children ages 15, 13, 11 and 9, as well as a cat and small flock of chickens. Amidst all the carpooling to soccer practices and tending to the animals, the unrivaled source of joy in my life is hands down this family that I call my own.

My husband and I are going on seventeen years of marriage (what!) We absolutely love getting out and about in this beautiful country with our kiddos. Our hope is to take them to all of the 50 states in the next few years. Our favorite places to explore are the beach, national parks, and really any body of water.

Aside from traveling, books and photography are my passion. I attend three different book clubs with some truly insightful women. My favorite book is Lovely War by Julie Berry.

What I love most about being a photographer is the opportunity to serve families, especially mothers, by doing something for them that they cannot do for themselves.

Sure, you could set up the tripod and use the self-timer to take a photo with you in it, but let me take the stress out of the situation by shouldering that responsibility

Let your children see that you were there, present in their lives, WITH them. The moments can slip through our fingers so quickly, but a photograph allows us to keep some moments from being lost forever.

I believe in printing photographs. I believe in telling the stories about them to our children so the legacy of our love and our lives continues on. I encourage you to bring the grandparents to your next family session, book an occasional daddy-daughter session, or take the family photos for a Christmas card like you’ve been meaning to for years! You will never regret having the photos, but you will regret not having them. I look forward to seeing you from the other side of the lens 🙂 xoxo, Wendy
